William David Amerson

William David Amerson, 67 of Magnet Cove, passed away on July 4th, 2023. David was born on October 18, 1955 to William ‘’Woody” and Ruby Amerson in Little Rock, Arkansas. David served over 30 years in the Army, serving in several different areas throughout his career including Operation Iraqi Freedom, he also taught and coached in several schools, and retired from Magnet Cove in 2012. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, gardening, being outdoors any chance he had, and above all else spending time with family and friends.

David is preceded in death by his father; Woody Amerson.

David is survived by his loving wife of over 43 years; Judy Amerson, two children; Andrea Hazlewood (Trey) and Jondavid Amerson (Christina), 5 brothers; Danny, Phillip (Pat), Carl (Patsy), Jimmy (Mitzi), and Matthew (Sarah), 6 grandchildren; Jace, Jordan, Jaxton Amerson, and Amelia, Noah, Stella Hazlewood, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Magnet Cove Cemetery or the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Visitation will be held on July 8, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel, with services same day starting at 10:00 AM at the Atkinson Chapel, interment will follow at Magnet Cove Cemetery.
