Teresa Anite Cummings

Teresa Annette Cummings, affectionately known as Terri, was born on May 15, 1960, in Little Rock, Arkansas. With a loving spirit and a feisty personality, she touched the lives of many during her time on this earth. Teresa passed away peacefully in Malvern, Arkansas, on January 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and generosity.

Throughout her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Long Meadow Nursing Home and several other facilities, Teresa dedicated herself to the care and well-being of others. She was known for her giving nature, always willing to lend a helping hand. Beyond her professional life, Terri found joy in hobbies such as sewing, quilting, fishing, and music. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be forever treasured.

Teresa is survived by her four beloved children: Tasha Talbert, Brandon Cummings, Ashley Goyne, and Austin Cummings. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Madison, Jacob, Jazmine, Ceirra, Hannah, and Garret, as well as being a great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her three brothers, Tim, Vincent, and Roy, and her mother-in-law, Peggy Hill, along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert Cummings Jr., her brother Victor Goyne, her sister Tina Kemp, her father-in-law Herbert Cummings Sr., and her nephew Christopher Goyne. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memories will live on through those who loved her.

A visitation will be held in her honor on January 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Inc, located at 126 E 2nd St, Malvern, Arkansas. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of Teresa. The funeral service will take place the following day, January 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Atkinson Funeral Home Inc, followed by a graveside service at Rest Haven Memorial Park at 12:30 PM.
