Rose Marie Montgomery

Rose Marie Montgomery, 70, passed away peacefully January 17th, 2024. Born

October 29 th , 1953, in Malvern, to Vanis and Hattie Cogburn. She married Arless

"Shelby" Montgomery on May 2nd, 1970, in Malvern, AR. She was a Certified Dietician,

holding multiple dietary positions, until finally retiring from the Arkansas Health Center.

She worked hard and loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed doing anything

outdoors, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She breathed life into

everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, and lit up every room she was in. She

was joyous, vibrant, affectionate, and proud. She loved her life and everyone in it. She

is survived by her husband, Shelby; two sisters, Beverly and Linda Gail; three sons,

Shelby Sr. "Buddy", Jonathan, and Dylan (Jessica); one daughter, Theresa (Shane); six

grandsons, Joshua, Shelby Jr., Kolby, Devan, Brayden, Brycen; three granddaughters,

Saige, Jade, Mylee; nine great grandchildren, Brighten, Jayla, Dakota, Jaebyn, Owen,

Arless, Jyma, Shelbie Hope, Braceson; her support dog, Ben "Moochie"; and many

other family and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her mother and father; her two brothers, Dennis, Darrell;

her two sisters, Vanis Sue and Betty; and one grandson, Dakota "Cody".

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the

Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. An obituary reading will begin at 6:45 pm. A special
