Ralph Watson Abbott, 1954-2020

On the evening of August 14, 2020, Ralph Watson Abbott of Malvern, Arkansas died at the age of 66.
Ralph was born in Lafayette, Georgia to the Reverend John and Winnie Abbott in 1954. He graduated from Malvern High School in 1973.
As a boy, Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman. When he wasn’t outdoors, he was with his many friends. He was known for his rugged good looks, sense of humor and attractive personality. Hurt in an industrial accident soon after graduating from high school, Ralph lived the remainder of his life with associates and staff at the Arkansas Health Center in Benton, Arkansas where he passed peacefully in his sleep.
Ralph is survived in by his father, John, and his mother, Winnie Abbott of Cave City, Arkansas; his three brothers, Johnny Abbott (Dianne) of Richmond, Virginia; Randall Abbott (Jeannie) of Cave City, Arkansas; and Ronald Abbott (Wrenita) of Springdale, Arkansas; and a host of family and friends. He was a member of the Matlock Drive Church of God in Cave City, Arkansas. A visitation will be held Monday, August 17 at Atkinson Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A private graveside memorial service will be held in Cave City
