Lynn Caldwell passed away peacefully amongst many friends and family on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024. He was 77 years old when he went to be with the Lord and his beautiful wife.
He was born on Sunday, December 22, 1946, in Malvern, Arkansas to Ollie D and Dorothy Jean Caldwell. He was the baby of the family with a wonderful older sister (to pick on).
He loved all things science. Astronomy was his passion in life. He loved the Hubble space telescope and the James Webb Telescope. He bored Peggy with many YouTube science shows about these telescopes and the space adventure that it brought into his world.
Lynn went to Louisiana Tech University and graduated with a bachelor's in electrical engineering, but that was not the best thing that he got at college. He met Peggy at Louisiana Tech, they fell in love and married in 1971. With love comes children, Paul and Dorothy were born and forever changed their lives.
Science wasn't his only love, Lynn thrived on telling corny dad jokes to anyone who would listen. Don't start laughing because that just meant you were in it for the long haul of joke telling.
Lynn was a proud father of two children, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He loved and cared for each one in his own way. He will be greatly missed by many.
Lynn is survived by his children Paul and Christina Caldwell and Vernon and Dorothy Hubbard. His grandchildren: Kendra and Joe Duggar, Lauren, Micah, Nathan, Timothy, Olivia, Jesiah, Isaiah, Moriah and Tyjeer. His great grandchildren: Garrett, Addison, Brooklyn and Justus. And his sister. Ollie Jean Caldwell. Also, by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas. with interment to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Malvern, Arkansas.
Arrangements were made under the direction on Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern, Arkansas.
