On August 12th, 2023, LouAnntoinette Davis passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Vincent hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was 61 years old.
She was born to the late Berdia Jean Thompson and Jessie Thompson, Sr., October 7th, 1961 in Malvern, Arkansas. Lou attended Malvern High School where she was known for her athleticism and big personality.
She married Ezelle Davis on January 23rd, 1981 in a small ceremony in Malvern, Arkansas. During the marriage, she and Ezelle shared two children. Lou took the role as a “stay-at-home mom” or as she preferred to be called “household technician.”
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leonard and Frank Thompson.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Ezelle Davis of Malvern, Arkansas, one daughter Denise “Neicy” Davis of Atlanta, Ga; one son Monzelle (Donna) Davis of Benton, Arkansas; one sister Brenda Thompson of Malvern, Arkansas; one brother Jessie Thompson, Jr. of Malvern, Arkansas; one loving niece Yaronda Thompson of Malvern, Arkansas; 4 grandsons Jamaree Owens of Sheridan, Arkansas; Izaiah “BeBe” Owens of Prattville, Arkansas; William “Burdie” Burks of Atlanta, Ga; Khalil Davis of Benton, Arkansas; 1 granddaughter Camille Davis of Benton, Arkansas and a host of friends and family.
“Ms. Lou” as she was lovingly called by those who knew and loved her. She was never seen without her fur babies, Girly Girly and Celie. She loved life, her family, and fishing. She was known for always being authentically herself and unapologetically honest. To know her was to love her, she will be missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel, services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Atkinson Chapel.
