John William Pierce

It is with saddened hearts to announce that our beloved John William Pierce, suddenly departed from this earth to continue his journey with his Heavenly Father & Savior Jesus Christ.

John transitioned to Heaven on May 14, 2023, at Advent Health Center in Merriam, Kansas.

John was born May 20, 1963 in Houston, TX. Today would have been his 60th Birthday. What a glorious day of celebration in Heaven today!

John spent his first 11 years of life in Houston, TX & then his family moved to Malvern, AR. John was a 1981 graduate of Malvern High School. John proudly served 20+ years of his life as an E-6 Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force. At the time of Johns' passing, he was an Engineer for the BNSF Railroad out of Kansas City, Kansas.

John was a born-again Christian who was raised in the Poyen Assemblies of God Church. John truly loved Jesus Christ & loved fellowshipping about life, in Jesus Christ. John also loved Gospel & Bluegrass Music. John loved spending time in Arkansas, Branson & in Florida, with his family.

John is survived by his loving newlywed bride, Shirley. John & his beautiful bride Shirley were married on March 30, 2023 in Branson, MO. Their wedding ceremony was officiated by John's 1st cousin, Raymond Plummer, whom he shared a close relationship with.

John is also survived by his son John Pierce, daughter Joy Pierce, brother Charles Pierce, sister Cindy Hughes, niece Jessica & her husband Charles, great nephew Dallas, great niece Cheyenne, Uncle Lanny Pierce, Aunt Lorece Bradshaw & multiple cousins & many many friends that he had throughout his life. John's absence is already immensely felt & he will be missed by everyone that was blessed to have known him! We will miss John's gift of gab because he never met a stranger.

Funeral services will be held at Atkinson Funeral Home on May 20, 2023 starting at 2:00 PM.
