James Willie Brown, 76 of Malvern, went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 14, 2022. James was born October 25, 1945 in Malvern, Arkansas to Horace and Lucille Brown. James served active duty with the 25th Infantry in Vietnam, afterwards he started with 489th Engineer Battalion Armed Reserves, James enjoyed working construction, fishing, driving anything with a motor and wheels, watching old westerns and war movies, and keeping up with the news, and above all else spending time with his family and friends. At various times in his life he served as District Commander, Chaplain, VP and Treasurer of District 9, lifetime member of both VFW and American Legion.
James is preceded in death by his parents, infant son; James Kenneth Brown, brother; Floyd Brown, Sister; Ruth Brown.
James is survived by his loving wife Judy Brown of 51 years, son; James Brown JR. (Kirsten), grandchildren; Benjamin and Ava Brown, sisters; Christine, Mary, and Elaine, and numerous other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on June 17, 2022 at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Alford Cemetery off of Possum trot road. Online condolences can be made at www.atkinsonfuneralhome.net
