James Edward Mcdade

James Edward McDade, 81, of Malvern, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock. He was born on December 27, 1942, in Donaldson, AR, to the late Cecil and Elsie Tarkington McDade. James was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He worked as a machinist at J&S Manufacturing in Bryant, until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and he enjoyed antique tractors and spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of Rockport Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Martha Matthews and Alta Cline; brothers, John McDade and Paul Franklin McDade.

Survivors include his loving wife Linda Cunningham McDade, to whom he was married on August 15, 1970, and celebrated 53 years of marriage; son, Bryan McDade (Esther) of Corning, AR, and daughter, Melissa Repko (Taylor) of Hiltons, VA; grandchildren, Lydia Repko, Valerie Repko, Ava Repko, and Silas Repko; sister, Loraine Swinnea (Fred); brother, Marvin McDade (Shirley); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, at 2:00pm, in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brad Warren, Bro. Bryan McDade, and Bro. Greg Belser officiating. Burial will be at Ouachita Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Taylor Repko, Paul McDade, Greg Belser, Chuckie Skorcz, David Stephens, Tim Smitha, Johnny Sanchez, and Fred Penny. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Swinnea, Thomas Hammond, James Danny McKim, Larry Cunningham, and Silas Repko.
