Ilaree Evelyn Medlin Efird

llaree Evelyn Medlin Efird 88 of Malvern, Arkansas passed away on May 21, 2022, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock after an acute illness.
She was born at home on December 6, 1933, in Dallas County, Arkansas to William Ervin Medlin and Josie Everline (Langley) Medlin. llaree was a homemaker until age 55 when she obtained her GED and began attending Quapaw Vocational Technical School in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She completed her studies to obtain her License Practical Nursing degree. She worked as an LPN until her mid 60's when she was forced to retire due to health issues. llaree enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her church family. She loved her garden and her flowers.
In 1951 llaree married Bobby Ray Efird at her home in the community of Round Hill, Arkansas. They had 8 children: Floyce Irene Taylor, Mary Evelyn Gaither (Shelby), Iva Mae Efird, Bobby Harold Efird (Lisa), Alice Ruth (Schweitzer, Smith) Tillery, William Lynn Efird (Janet). Kathy Dianne Crow (David), Timothy Ray Efird. She had 14 grandchildren: Kristy Lee (Sarah), Michelle Gaither-McClain (Craig), Michael Ray Gaither, Angela Marie (Smith) Deering, Donnie Smith, Jeremiah Wade Schweitzer, Joshua Allen Schweitzer, Kevin Anthony Crow (Kayla), Aaron Freeman Crow (Stacey), Emily Elizabeth Efird, Amy Catherine (Efird) Farmer (Bridger), Ashley Michelle Efird, Tracy Rayanne Efird, and Holly Brooke Efird. She had eleven great grand Children and multiple nieces and nephews. Virginia Medlin and Trubbie Medlin are surviving sisters-in-law.
llaree was preceded in death by both parents; William Ervin Medlin and Josie Everline Medlin, Spouse; Bobby Ray Efird, Children; Iva Mae Efird, Alice Ruth Tillery, Son-in-law; David Franklin Crow, Grandson; Michael Ray Gaither, and Grand Daughter; Angela Marie (Smith) Deering. llaree was also preceded in death by all of her siblings: William (Willie) Alexander Medlin, Winfred Lawson Medlin (Virginia), Edith Ruth (Medlin, Stewart, Hensarling) Wiley, Minnie Lee (Medlin) Walton (Eugene), Herbert Wilson Medlin (Trubbie), Robert Jackson Medlin (Earlene), Glenna Faye (Medlin) Stewart (Dorris Gene), Wesley Ervin Medlin (Pat)
Visitation will be Thursday May 26, 2022, 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be Friday May 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with internment following at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Paul bearers: Trent Medlin, J. W. Medlin, Melvin (Sam) Stewart, Sanford Nix, Allen Nix, Darrell Hughes, Kevin Whitley, and Kyle Whitley.
The family is scattered but will be in and out at Kathy Crow's residence, 387 Leewood Drive, in Magnet Cove community.
