Gerald Edgar Prince, age 78, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Mr. Prince was the only child born to his parents on April 9, 1943. Mr. Prince was a graduate of Malvern High School where he was affectionally known by the nickname “Percy.” He was very athletic in his youth playing baseball, football, and running track. He was a member of the Army National Guard. He was always involved in the construction business, and he started his own general contracting business in 1983. Mr. Prince always had many hobbies which included bass fishing, duck hunting, racing thoroughbred horses, and enjoying watching sports. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Prince was preceded in death by his parents Edgar Wallace and Bessie Mae Collie Prince. He is survived by a daughter Suzanne Worthington of Watkinsville, GA; four grandchildren: William, Lauren, Mary Ella, and Benjamin Worthington all of Watkinsville, GA; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a collection of wonderful friends.
Visitation will be Friday, August 13, 2021, at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-8:00PM.
Funeral service will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Donaldson, AR.
Interment will be at Prairie Bayou Cemetery.
Atkinson Funeral Home, Malvern, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
