Effie Mae Seward, age 106, of Malvern, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, one day short of her 107th birthday, in Malvern Arkansas. Mrs. Effie was born Friday, April 14, 1916, in Antioch, Arkansas to Oliver and Frances (Cates) Ashley.
Mrs. Effie married the love of her life, Lloyd Seward on Saturday, August 30, 1930, they were married for fifty-nine years.
Effie was a lifelong member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and had a deep love for her family.
Effie is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband Lloyd Seward, children; Floyd Gilbert Seward, Onita Margaret Marlowe and Eldredge Clayton Seward.
She is survived by daughter-in-law Katherine Seward and eight grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Effie Seward will be a Visitation Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 6:00pm-8:00pm at Atkinson Funeral Home-Chapel.
Graveside Friday, April 21, 2023, at 2:00pm at Upper Antioch Cemetery in Donaldson, Arkansas with David Overturf officiating.
