Dorothy enjoyed a rich career, notably retiring from Lake Catherine Footwear in Hot Springs, where she was known for her diligence and impeccable spirit. In her earlier years, she also worked at the Malvern Drive-in Theatre, delighting patrons with her warmth and friendly demeanor on those lively weekend nights.
She was a loving and caring soul, always giving of herself and fostering connections that brightened the days of those around her. Dorothy possessed a kind spirit; her joy in sharing moments with others was evident in her love-filled laughter and generous heart. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated, and her presence was truly a blessing.
A devoted family woman, Dorothy cherished her time spent playing Saturday night card games, engaging in horseshoes, fishing, and soaking up the great outdoors whenever the opportunity arose. But above it all, her greatest joy was found in the moments shared with family and friends. Those close to her will forever remember the warmth of her hugs, the sound of her laughter, and the delightful stories she shared during those treasured gatherings.
Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her children: Tim Goyne (April), Roy Goyne, Charlie Goyne, and Terrie Cummings. She leaves behind a vast legacy in the form of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings Margaret Hicks, Willie Farber (Joyce), Emma Henderson, and Sherry Chandler (Jerry), as well as a host of other family members and friends who will miss her profoundly.
She reunites now with her son, Victor Goyne; her daughter, Tina Kemp; and her brothers RJ Farber and Frank Farber, along with sisters Louise Farber, Elsie Harper, and Birdie Harper, each of whom she adored and longed to see again.
As we honor Dorothy's remarkable life, we are comforted by the memories of her unwavering love, her countless acts of kindness, and the vibrant spirit she brought to every gathering.
