Dolly Laverne Taylor

Dolly "Laverne" (Holt) Taylor, 97, Born in Hot Springs, AR on February 6, 1924 to George Cortez Holt and Mattie Viola (Allen) Holt passed away on May 20, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her husband Freeman Lee Taylor, two brothers, Haywood and Henry Holt and one sister, Mary Bell Green. She is survived by one sister, Pauline Reynolds and sister-in-law Bettye Holt of Malvern along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Laverne retired from Adams Face Veneer Plant but was best remembered for serving candy to children in the Dime Store. Her hobbies included quilting, flowers, and cooking.
Visitation will be held at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel at 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on May 22, 2021. Service will follow at 5 p.m. then burial at Big Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Carl Effird, Jimmy Sutton, Tim Holt, Steve Holt, Katie Specht, and Evan Green. Honorary pallbearers are Ernie Cox, Ronnie Reynolds,Tommy Green, and Calvin Nugent.
