Clarence Jimmy Brown, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at Baptist Health in Little Rock. Born on August 31, 1939, in Malvern, Arkansas, Clarence lived a life that was filled with laughter, love, and music.

Known for his great sense of humor, Clarence had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him, often gathering friends and family with his corny jokes and engaging conversations. He possessed a contagious spirit that uplifted others, and his warmth resonated in every room he entered.

Throughout his life, Clarence embraced a variety of hobbies. He found immense joy in playing music, where he could express himself and share moments with loved ones. Chess was another passion, allowing him to engage in friendly competition. Fishing was his retreat, a time spent in nature that brought peace and reflection. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his little buddy, reinforcing the importance of family connections and shared experiences.

Clarence is survived by his son, James Alvin Brown; daughters, Brenda Lou Fitz, Barbara Jo Foster, Daina Lynne Wilhelm, and Christina Louise Niles; and sons, Hubert Lee Brown, William Harold Fewell, and Daniel Ray Brown. He was a proud grandfather to over 30 grandchildren, as well as multiple great-grandchildren, all of whom looked up to him with admiration and love.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife Betty Lou Brown, daughter, Glenda Sue Ellis; mother, Rachel Pauline Brown; father, Emery Clyde Brown Sr; siblings; Ethel Beck, Rosey Brown, Franklin Brown, Wanda Baxter, Emory Clyde Brown JR, and his son, Charles Glen Ellis. The legacy of Clarence Jimmy Brown will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, as they remember his laughter and the countless moments shared together. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all. 

Visitation will be held on February 27, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel. Services will be held at Atkinson Chapel on February 28, 2025 beginning at 1:00 PM.
