Aralinda Smoke

Aralinda Smoke, a cherished mother, grandmother, and community member, departed this world on March 16, 2025, at the age of seventy-five, leaving behind a rich tapestry of love, service, and dedication that will forever resonate within the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

Born on July 28, 1949, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Aralinda’s journey through life was marked by a commitment to nurturing and educating others. She devoted over a decade of her career to young learners as a preschool teacher at C.A.D.C, where she inspired countless children with her warmth and creativity. Her passion for care extended beyond the classroom, as she became a Certified Nursing Assistant at Baptist Health Medical Center, serving with compassion and skill for more than fifteen years.

Aralinda’s life was woven with many vibrant threads of community involvement; she found joy and purpose as a member of the HSC Extension Homemakers Council-Harp Group, and Stitchers of Grace Sewing Group. These endeavors reflected her knack for craftsmanship, as she embraced the arts of sewing, knitting, and crocheting with remarkable talent. A testament to her skills was her recognition as an overall Best In Show winner for a dress she crafted for the Hot Spring County Fair in 2017. Her legacy as an excellent seamstress led to numerous opportunities to create unique items for others, further showcasing her commitment to enhancing the lives of those around her.

First and foremost, Aralinda was a devoted family woman. She is survived by her beloved children, Lisa (Rodney) Roling, Tim (Judy) Smoke, and Tonya Smoke, who carry forward her enduring spirit. Her siblings, Doretta Cogburn, Martha Langley, and Troy Webb, alongside her grandchildren—Josh Byrd, Brandi Goforth, Ashley Smoke, Tori (Logan) Sexton, and Cole (Danielle) Smoke—and great-grandchildren—Zelda, Link, Brinkley, Blaire, and Gracie—are all part of the vast network of love and life she cultivated throughout her years. Furthermore, she leaves behind a multitude of friends and extended family, each one touched by her kindness and warmth.

Aralinda was predeceased by her husband, George Dale Smoke, who was a constant source of love and companionship, as well as her parents, Richard and Ruth Webb, and her sister, Rosland Webb. Their memories remain an indelible part of her legacy.

In her quest to share her faith and values, Aralinda dedicated herself to nurturing the next generation through teaching children’s church, Sunday school, and vacation Bible school at Trinity Baptist Church. This commitment to her community and faith underscores the profound impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her.

As we come together to celebrate Aralinda's extraordinary life, we invite family and friends to her visitation on March 20, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 10:00 AM at Atkinson Funeral Home, in Malvern, Arkansas. Aralinda's final resting place will be at Fairplay Cemetery in Benton, Arkansas.

Aralinda Smoke leaves behind a legacy rich in love, creativity, and dedication—a life lived to the fullest, forever remembered by her family and community.
