Sandra Eloise "Tootie" Jones Ross was born May 20, 1950, in Malvern, Hot Spring County, Arkansas to W.G. Bill Jones and Bera Inez Ford. She went home on Saturday, August 5th, 2023. She was a graduate of Malvern High school, class of 1968, where she was in the choir and drama clubs. Tootie attended Eaton Beauty College in Little Rock during the summer of her junior year and then got her cosmetology license shortly after graduating high school. She worked in her mother's Beauty Salon and with her sister Janet at several salons before purchasing her own business which she ran for 20 years. She retired in January of 2015 after 47 years as a beautician. Tootie married her once-in-a-lifetime love, Roger Dave Ross on March 1st of 1969. They traveled the US extensively until finally settling down in North Little Rock. Tootie was loved by many and if she loved you, you knew it and felt it. She and her husband raised their two children in a strong Christian home and taught them to be kind and helpful, not only to family and friends but also to strangers in need. Kindness and compassion for others was a mainstay in their home. We Rejoice that she is no longer in pain and that the constraints of her earthly body are no more. She was the most loving friend, Mama, Grammy, and Granny. Tootie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 35 years Roger, her sister Marie Hicks, and her brother Austin Levisee.
