Henry Dewayne Bowen

Henry Dewayne Bowen, age 84, passed away from this life Wednesday, November 10, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on September 6. 1937. He leaves behind Jamie, his wife of sixty years; son, Don and wife Hollye; adopted son Ronny Shackelford; beloved grandchildren, Brianna Driskill and Jess Bowen.

Proceeded in death both parents, Henry and Slyvia Bowen; brother, David Bowen; sister, Zella Felty; infant son, Gerald Dewayne Bowen; infant brother, Jesse; nephew, Brian Otwell.

Surviving siblings; Lucille Morrison, Preston Bowen, Joyce Wetherinton (Carrol), and beloved sister in-laws; Jean Fuller (Barney) and Sandy Otwell (Leon) and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Henry Dewayne Bowen was an Army Veteran who served in Germany. He loved to fish and hunt; he was a member of B and B Hunting Club. He loved making new friends wherever he went and cherished his lifelong friends.

Visitation will be Friday, November 12, 2021, at 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern, Arkansas with Graveside to follow at 1:00 PM at Rockport Cemetery with Bro Barney Fuller officiating.

Pallbearers: Michael Otwell, David Baum, Dean Teague, James Ross, Ricky Ross, James Bowen.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jess Bowen, Cole Otwell, Taylor Ross and members of B and B Hunting Club.
