Bettye Jo Holt

Bettye Jo Holt, 90 of Malvern, Arkansas, passed away on November 27, 2022. Bettye was born September 7, 1932, in Sparkman, Arkansas, to William J Brumley Sr and Hazel Jackson. Bettye enjoyed painting, reading, knitting, loved playing dominos and chicken foot, watching Wheel of Fortune along with her other favorite shows, and above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Bettye is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of many, many years; Henry Holt.

Bettye is survived by her three children; Stephen (Teresa) Holt, Ginger (Jim) Cozad, and Timothy Holt. Along with two brothers; William J (Jean) Brumley Jr and Jim (Dorothy) Brumley, grandchildren; Nicole (Matt) Herndon, Aaron Holt, Jeremy Holt, Keith Jules - Kensington (Michaela) Cozad, Elliot-Sloane Chao Cai Cozad, two great grandchildren; Adalyn Grace Herndon and Marleigh Wren Herndon, and numerous nieces, nephews, along with other family and friends.

Pall Bearers; Terry Brumley, Elle Cozad, Keith Cozad, Nicole Herndon, Aaron Holt, and Jeremy Holt. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Atkinson Chapel from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, services will begin with Brother Donis Smead at 11:00 AM, with interment following at Big Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, help us carry on Bettye’s legacy by establishing the Bettye Holt Nursing Education Fund. The family respectfully requests donations be made to the National Park College Foundation, np.edu/give, 101 College Drive, Hot Springs, AR 71913.
